"If you don't like what the Bible says, no problem, just ignor it, or change it—and the Confessions, too."
That, basically, is the attitude of our Presbytery of Philadelphia in 2009, and our highest governing body, the General Assembly, which met in San Jose, California this past June.
Their decisions, while sadly regrettable, were not unexpected, as an ever increasing number of Bible-centered Presbyterians have left this chaotic denomination over the years.
It is now painfully obvious to us that the season for renewal efforts is over. As someone has said, we are (and have been) "talking past each other."
We will have more to say as our church works to clarify its official strategy. In the mean time, we continue to be faithful to God's Word to the best of our human abilities, and look to God's grace and power to forgive, lead and guide us.
